As a pastoral response to the Corona Virus pandemic, Aid to the Church in Need has embarked on a massive prayer action involving 35 contemplative orders around the world.
This special prayer action which takes the form of a “prayer chain” with contemplative monasteries to pray for, to comfort and encourage our family of partners and benefactors affected by the pandemic in the whole world is an example of the “bridge of love” and communion that we strive to build with and between both our beneficiaries and benefactors through prayer, providing information and expressing gratitude.
The work of Aid to the Church in Need is built on the pillar of permanent prayer. We rely on the prayers of all our project partners, but especially on the pleas of the contemplative orders as they are considered “the praying heart” of the Church.
It is so good to know that sisters and brothers are praying for us and for our daily work. We believe that these prayers produce a rich harvest of grace and mercy.
We invite all our readers, friends and benefactors to continue to join with us in prayer and help support those in need.
